7 trigonometric ratios you can find on the calculator

There are numerous different measurement units for angles that can be measured, with degrees being one such option. Before you use the calculatorto find the the trigonometric proportions of angles in degrees, you must make sure the calculator is set to use the right units.

Always check that the calculatoris using the correct method of angle measurement prior to using trigonometric ratios.

Your calculatoris configured to make use of degrees if the display indicator appears in the center of the display. If you notice this indicator and/or it is, then it means that your calculator can be set to employ different types of units when measuring angles.Figure 9 shows the degree setting.

To change the settings of the calculator so that it works in degrees, you must use the key sequence (SETUP) (Deg).

To determine the sine cosine, tangent, or sine of an angle, simply press the , or key and then input the dimension of your angle. It is important to note that , and keys automatically open the bracket for the user to use. If you're merely calculating the sine, cosine , or tangent of an angle, simply press after you have entered the angle. There is an obligation to shut the bracket. If you're using these ratios in larger calculation and you are using them in conjunction with other calculations, then you'll need to remember to close the bracket yourself (by pressing ) before you enter your next calculation.

Certain older models of calculator need the angle to be entered first, then after which comes the , or button.
